FFmpeg.wasm is a large WebAssembly module. It is downloaded once and cached. The first time you use the tool (or after clearing cache), you will see a short loading state.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, in browsers that support WebAssembly (Chrome, Safari). Muting uses stream copy, so it is fast and works well on mobile.

What if the video has no audio?

If the video has no audio track, the tool will still produce a valid output (video only). The result is the same as the input without an audio stream.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit. Very long videos may take longer to process. Practical limits depend on your device memory. Because we only copy the video stream and drop audio, processing is quick.

Why mute a video?
